I saw a link to Google’s ‘GoogleGulp on ablog. Google unveiled there new drink product on April 1st (guess what that meant) saying that GoogleGulp is a line of “smart drinks” designed to maximize your surfing efficiency by making you more intelligent, and less thirsty.
In GoogleGulp’s frequently asked questions area, the question of GoogleGulps safety is bought up, given that with it’s ‘Auto-Drink’ technology alters the brains chemistry. In response to the question ‘Isn’t that kind of dangerous’ Google say “Well, none of the lab rats who’ve been pounding this stuff for the past eight months have keeled over yet, which we find fairly reassuring. At any rate, you should be aware that by popping the seal on the twist-off Gulp cap, you send a wireless signal to Google’s servers indicating your irrevocable acceptance of the Google Gulp Terms and Conditions, which do include the possibility, however remote, of hideous genetic mutation resulting from your consumption of this product. We’re pretty sure you won’t die, though.
Last week I was doing a little research online when I came across a quote by an American journalist, Ann Coulter (author or a recent book entitled ‘How to talk to a liberal – if you must’). Just after 9/11 she wrote in her column what she thought would be the best way to deal with the attack on America. She said “We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren’t punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That’s war. And this is war.”
That research led me to a site that sells political humor T-Shirts, and one sporting that very quote and a picture of Coulter. Other shirts showed a wide selection of guns with the tagline ‘celebrate diversity.’ But my favorite was one depicting a donkey in Disney ‘That’s all folks’ cartoon fashion. I’d wear that T-Shirt! After all, many a person has accused me of being part of the ‘loony left’ so it seems only right to adopt the apparel.

Ann Coulter is truly scary. Almost as scary as hideous genetic mutation.

Ahahaha…Anne Coulter has long been something of an icon of stupidity in the American academic world. You have only to say something is “Coulter-like” or better, “Coulter-esque,” and everyone automatically knows what level of relevance you’re dealing with. :-)

The funny thing about you Simon, is that you say you’re not political, but you so totally are! Here’s a funny post, but you still manage to get some political point across :-)
I suppose what you should say isn’t “I’m not political” but “I’m a passionate person” because I think that would be more correct. You are very passionate about things you enjoy and things you believe in. That then would make you a passionate loony lefty, which if you ask me sounds better than the alternative.
One thing’s for sure Simon. You’re not a grey suit love :-) x x
