I’m sure you all know how this goes, but every so often a song can really grab you can’t it? You end up humming it as you go about your day, tapping your feet while you make a cup of tea, and nodding your head while you sort out your morning mail. Well this song is currently in my head, I love it, and that seemed like a good enough reason to share it with all of you.
The song is called ‘Walk You Home’ by a British band called Passenger. It’s an upbeat number which sounds like it might be just another love song, but listen closely to the words!

“Walk You Home” or “Creep II, not by Radio Head this time.”

Nice one Simon….. I can hear a Morrissey/Marr influence here, mixed with that squeaky voiced lad in Corrie from yesteryear….
good stuff

That song is kinda sad and kinda creepy too. It is a catchy tune, though. The song I’ve had in my head for a week is one I never liked to begin with – an old 80’s song by Wham that I heard on American Idol the other night – the song always drove me nuts even if it did have a catchy tune – Take Me Dancin’ Tonight – or something like that.

“I’m the boy that’s crossing borders. I’m the boy with social disorders.”
What an interesting tension. The song is so upbeat and yet it is basically the love song of a stalker. As far as stalkers go, however, he seems relatively harmless.

:-/ you couldnt get the song out of your head so in a way, the song was stalking you…. now that was deep.
but really, that’s a clever song. Creepy but clever. i hope i never have someone sing that song about me…. shudder!!! makes me not want to wear blue short dresses and boots.. though i hardly think that was a limiter for the guy.

I like the contrast of this up beat happy tune with the scary stalker boy lyrics. It’s a pretty funny song. One of many by these guys.
I found them quite by accident while looking for another song on iTunes. If you enjoyed ‘Walk You Home’ then check out more of their stuff on their YouTube.

I saw this post yesterday and thought it was a terrific tune. The words are so funny. Do you remember Every Breath You Take by The Police? That sounds like a love song, but just like this one it’s also about a creepy stalker.
Anyway, I too went and purchased this, but from DRM free Amazon, not iTunes.
Thanks for the great recommendation Simon!
